The festival offers high quality performances, lectures, photo exhibits, workshops and guided tours in Palestine, with a focus on heritage sites. In 2017 the festival included a host of performers around the world—The kora player Ballake Sissoko of Mali, the Jawla Project from Belgium and The Whirling Dervishes of Istanbul among many others.
2016 - Fes Festival of World Sacred Music: musical direction, composition and arrangement for the festival’s opening performance “A Sky Full of Stars,” which recounted the stories of Arab and Muslim women who had left their mark on history.
"Musician, composer and conductor, Ramzi Aburedwan flows with great ease between East and West. From Arabic maqam to symphonic music, Palestinian folklore to tarab or from Sufi incantations to music for large orchestras, he has made this universal musical space his home and destiny, and in doing so, has overcome the fractures of his past."
